Advanced Australia Post Shipping Module for Interspire Shopping Cart

The default Interspire Australia Post module has a couple of shortcoming which our module eliminates.

Feature:

• The module calculates parcel sizes and weight and then submits multiple quotes to the Australia Post server and returns the prices as one quote and a number of required parcels. Say your customer orders 5 items each weighting 4.9 kg the standard Australia post module would come up with an error message as the combined weight can not be heavier then 20kg. Our module will separate the order in two different parcels submits two queries first one for dimensions of 4 items and total weight of 19.6 kg and second query for 1 item weight 4.9kg the two results are then combined and the total amount and the number of parcels is shown to the customer.
• The module takes weight AND dimensions in to account
• You will only receive error message if a single item exceeds 20kg or maximum dimension
• It includes Australia Regular Parcel Post and Express Post

Please note that there are some short comings related to how Australia Posts API works and there is unfortunately no way around it.

• Australia Post's API does not allow combined quote requests so if orders will need to be split in multiple parcels the module will need to submit each quote request individually which will take some if the order needs to be split in many different parcels.
• In regards to product dimension and box sizes, Australia Post's API is not very smart and can't pack boxes with multiple products in the most space efficient way (like you can) as a matter of fact Australia Post can just multiply the product size so 2 x product with the individual dimensions of 10 cm width, 26 cm heights and 10 cm length will exceed the maximum dimension height of 50 cm (26 cm + 26 cm = 52cm) and would split this in two 2 parcels even though you as a smart human being could pack this two items next to each other and hence would be able to fit two items in the box. Auspost Maximum Parcels Dimensions are 50cm length, 50 cm heights and 30cm width and a weight of 20kg

You can minimise this by tinkering with your product sizes in ISC especially if you use fixed size boxes for your shipping but this would be your job ;-).

Please do not purchase the module if you don't agree to the above mentioned. This are not bug's but Australia Post's API limittation and we tried to work around it as best as possible.
